What Is A Franchise Mastermind?
It’s a group of 8 like-minded businesses that meet for the purpose of helping each member improve the quality of their business — that is, they help each other improve the productivity, operations, processes, profit and satisfaction of their business. They accomplish these goals through intense, in-person, two-day quarterly meetings and periodic teleconferences. The group follows a specific Mastermind process which is professionally facilitated by Dr. John Hayes. There are separate Mastermind groups for Franchisors, Franchisees and Suppliers. (Please note: each group meets exclusive of the other two groups; we do not include franchisees in the franchisor group, for example, or franchisors in the supplier group, etc.).

Who Qualifies To Join A Group?
Prior to being accepted into a group, you will be asked to complete an Application. Members are Founders, Presidents or CEOs of their companies. Every member must be willing and able to provide detailed information about their business. All members agree to confidentiality. Competitive businesses never belong to the same Mastermind group. A Franchisor group includes only Franchisors; a Franchisee group includes only Franchisees; and a Supplier group includes only Suppliers or Vendors.

Where Does A Mastermind Meet?
Masterminds meet quarterly in person at a member’s office for two days. Each member takes a turn to host a meeting. In months when there’s no in-person meeting, members meet by teleconference.

Can You Conduct A Franchisee Mastermind For A Single Brand?
In other words, instead of coming from different brands, the members would all be franchisees of the same company. The answer is Yes, I’ll facilitate a Mastermind with members from one company. Some companies will pay all or part of the fee for their top franchisees to participate in a Mastermind. This is a huge value-add for the franchisees!
